For those who come from the world's colder locations, beer is almost a necessity already, as it gives heat and warmth to the cold body. If you're going to retire in Costa Rica, it almost seems like there's no need for a drink of this alcoholic beverage anymore, but actually, this is one of those places where you'll never go wrong when it comes to the choices for alcohol. Beer here in Costa Rica is called as "birra" or "una fria." As far as beer is concerned, there is only one dominant brand: Imperial.

Sitting on the beach with seafood doesn't seem to be completed unless you have wine or beer. You do not have to go that far, as hotel or motel even sell alcoholic beverages. Beers or any alcoholic beverages got nothing to do with weather. In fact the oldest beer or wine was made in the dessert in middle east. It's part of the culture so just enjoy it.

Just now I hear about drinking beer in costa rica.. really? if you retired you cant drink alcohol anymore? i cant imagine coz some of old man and woman like to drink alcohol for their daily routine as for relaxing...
